ABOUT THE WEBSITE

Jacob’s Fountain dreams to become the go to place for Christians to discover resources for spiritual growth. From events announcements, to aggregating inspiring Christian blogs, news and videos, to finding a place to worship, to daily devotionals and reading plans; it wants to provide everything that a Christian would need to grow in His knowledge and love of Jesus.

Founded in 2014 by Edwin Arceo, a Filipino Christian who loves God and wants to honour Him with the gifts that He graciously gave through His Holy Spirit. Partnering with other gifted writers and artists, the website’s goal is to be a blessing to the Christian community and strengthen each and everyone’s foundation.

The site will continually seek partners who wishes to collaborate on developing fresh, relevant and most especially, inspiring and spirit-enriching content. This serves as your invitation.

This site is a labor of love and a way to express the joy of knowing Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. May you and many others like you join me in this journey.

SO WHAT ABOUT THE NAME?

Jacob’s Fountain is actually another term for Jacob’s Well. You may be familiar with this well because this is the well where Jesus met the Samaritan woman in John 4 while He and the disciples where going through Samaria. We all know what transpired here but especially what Jesus said in verses 9-14, “The Samaritan woman said to him, “How is it that you, a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a woman of Samaria?” ( For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.) Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.” The woman said to him, “Sir, you have nothing to draw water with, and the well is deep. Where do you get that living water? Are you greater than our father Jacob? He gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did his sons and his livestock.” Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.

That is what I dream this site to be, to be a source of living water, where everyone who comes can be refreshed so that in turn they can refresh others.
