Then stop, you may be having a “trust issue.” God is not lost. He can easily be found. To find Him, you have to know Him. Its that easy. He is actually the one looking for you, you just don’t realize it.
If you are looking and you feel that you have not yet found Him, then rest on this word from Psalm 9:10 (NLT), “Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you.”
You have to trust God. For us to trust someone we have got to have a deep knowledge of that person–even God. Sometimes we think we know God even though in all reality we do not. We grew up in an environment where everyone seem to know God. It is far from the truth. Our knowledge of God is like our knowledge of science. You believe in science because you were taught in school and have come to accept it as it is. It is the same with God. We think we know Him because we grew up in religious rituals and ceremonies, whatever our persuasion may be.
Do you really know God? Then trust Him! He will be found. His word, the Bible, said it already. If you are truly looking for Him, He will not abandon you. But remember, you need to trust Him. Get your Bible out, that is how you get to know Him. Don’t have a Bible? Then buy one! Its not that expensive. You don’t have any money to spare? Then trust God to provide, He will easily make Himself known.
Once you have a Bible, pray! That is how you talk with God. You don’t have to close your eyes or kneel down and clasp your hands. Just say a word directed to Him Seek Him out by asking Him to reveal Himself to you. If your heart is sincere, you would be surprised how God will make Himself known!
