Psalms 84:11
For the Lord God is our sun and our shield.
He gives us grace and glory.
The Lord will withhold no good thing
from those who do what is right.
Doing what is right…simple words to say but a difficult task for so many.We are faced with decisions almost every minute of our lives. Big things and small things. In the eyes of God, it is not about scale. It’s about doing what is right.Doing what is right–all the time–is so hard that God declared a blessing to those who will persevere to do it constantly. Even the mighty men of the Bible made bad decisions. They did not always do what is right. Moses struck the rock instead of just speaking to it; David committing adultery with Bathsheba; Jonah running away from Nineveh.

There were so many of them who made mistakes, just like us.

They also did what was good in the eyes of God. Moses had the privilege of ministering to God Himself, talking to Him, throwing plagues at Egypt, parting the Red Sea. Moses was entrusted with big stuff! He also had a big headache, over million of them. 😎

Even with David’s biggest blunder, he was still called to be the man after God’s own heart. David did not allow his mistake to set him back, he repented and humbled himself in front of God. In return, the LORD restored David and rewarded him with expanding the kingdom of Israel thereby starting it’s glorious age. Grace and glory.

God promised in the scripture at the start of this post that “…He will not withhold no good thing from those who do what is right,” That’s a big promise from an equally big God
